Carnival Dream Good / Bad Cabins / Deck Information

Carnival Dream has cabins and staterooms located among nine decks.

It is always nice to have an idea of what a cabin will be like before departing on your vacation. The one thing most passengers are curious about is the actual measurements of a stateroom. It can be very disappointing to open the door to your cabin and find a much smaller space than you had pictured in your mind. The cabins on board Carnival Dream have a floor to ceiling height of seven feet. A standard bathroom measures four feet by six feet including the shower. Bathrooms in the Deluxe Family Staterooms are four feet by six feet including the shower, or they are four feet by four feet including a tub. Bathrooms with tubs in a standard suite are four and a half by seven and a half feet. Doorway dimensions are 22 inches wide by six feet eight inches high. Most ocean view stateroom windows are four feet by three feet. In the larger suites windows can be up to five and a half by four feet.

Bedding

All beds on Carnival Dream include the Carnival Comfort Bed Sleep System. This unique system gives you added comfort with an eight inch spring mattress, a down duvet, cotton blend sheets and custom pillows.
For guests with allergies to down, they do offer non-allergenic alternative bedding.

Bed Sizes

Beds come in twin that can be converted to king and queen sizes. Sofa beds come in singles and doubles. You may also request trundle beds, roll away beds, and portable cribs. Some cabins will come with an upper berth which is a bed that comes out of the ceiling. The upper berth will hold up to 250 pounds and are 58 inches from the floor and 27 inches from the ceiling.

Riviera Deck (Deck 1)

The Riviera Deck is ideal for those who want a quieter room. It is the lowest deck on the ship and cabins are located under other cabins which can be less noisy than cabins under public areas. Cabins 1400 - 1455 may pick up some vibrations from the propellers. Staterooms 1327, 1333, 1404, and 1417 are next to elevators, so these cabins may have a bit more noise but can also be convenient if you do not like to walk far. Staterooms 1432 and 1447 have obstructed views because of cleaning machinery. Staterooms 1201, 1202, 1203, 1204, 1205, 1206, 1207 and 1208 have two portholes instead of a window. Staterooms 1368, 1370, 1372, 1376, 1379, 1380, 1381, 1383, 1384, 1387, 1388, 1391, 1392, 1395, 1396, 1398, 1399, 1403, 1407, and 1409 have twin beds that do not convert to king when both upper berths are in use. Staterooms 1201, 1202, 1203, 1204, 1327, 1332, 1341, 1404, 1417, 1201, 1202, 1203 have only 1 upper/1 lower bed or 1 lower bed / 1 sofa bed.

Main Deck (Deck 2)

Cabins on the Main Deck are under the dining areas but this should not be a big problem because most guests are not in their cabins during meal times. Staterooms 2448 and 2473 have obstructed views because of cleaning machinery. Staterooms 2211, 2212, 2216, 2217, 2220, and 2221 have two portholes instead of a window. Staterooms 2207, 2208, 2211, 2212, 2216, 2217, 2348, 2367, 2377 have only 1 upper/1 lower bed or 1 lower bed / 1 sofa bed.

Obstructed views are found in cabins 6201, 6202, 6203, 6204, 6205 and 6206. Outside of the stateroom is a small observation deck that all guests have access to. The windows are tinted so you cannot see inside the stateroom during the day. A sign inside the stateroom reads: "Please keep the window curtain at night time closed for the safety of navigation." Staterooms 6207 and 6208 have a steel balcony rail that blocks their view when seated. Staterooms 6226, 6229 and 6367 have only 1 upper/1 lower bed or 1 lower bed / 1 sofa bed.

The windows are tinted so you cannot see inside the stateroom during the day. A sign inside the stateroom reads: "Please keep the window curtain at night time closed for the safety of navigation." Staterooms 7207 and 7208 have two twin beds that do not convert to king.

Verandah Deck (Deck 8)

The decks above and below the Verandah Deck are cabin areas as well so noise should be at a minimum. This deck holds the standard staterooms and all of the outside cabins include balconies. Stateroom 8351 has only 1 upper/1 lower bed or 1 lower bed / 1 sofa bed

Vista Deck (Deck 9)

Cabins 9201 - 9268 are quieter with cabins above them. The aft section is under the pool so you may here lounge chairs being dragged from place to place, especially at night when the crew is cleaning. Obstructed views are found in cabins 9201 and 9202. Outside of the stateroom is a small observation deck that all guests have access to. The windows are tinted so you cannot see inside the stateroom during the day. The Panorama Deck is the first floor of the Cloud Spa Accommodations.
